Group Fitness Schedule
Starting February 2012
SPINNING
Group cycling classes for all fitness levels. You control the resistance as we simulate a challenging ride, with great music.  Sign-ups are available at the front desk no more than 48 hours prior to class.  A towel and water bottle are required & heart rate monitors are suggested. 


PUMP IT UP
This total body workout program is designed by a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer.  This class gives you your recommended daily requirement of cardio combined with resistance training.  Build cardio fitness and strength while enjoying the music and energy of the class.


PILATES
:  A total body workout that emphasizes body alignment to build muscular strength, endurance, flexibility and balance. This class focuses on abdominals, hips, and lower back to create a power center, enabling the rest of the body to move freely.


YOGA
Yoga is a complete mind body & breath workout using static and fluid postures. Yoga increases your flexibility and maintains the range of motion in your joints. Yoga creates a stronger body while releasing stress and fatigue.

Restorative Yoga- In this gentle yoga class, you will be supported in every pose so that you can completely relax. You will leave this class feeling refreshed, renewed & restored.    

Yoga Essentials: For those new to yoga, those with physical limitations, those returning to yoga, and ongoing students wanting to review the basics.  Learn basic skills & how to use props such as blocks or straps when needed to assist the body as you develop flexibility and strength required in each basic posture.  Verbal and visual directions are given by the teacher.                                      

Yoga Flow -A more intermediate level class for those with prior yoga experience.  Flowing sequences & more difficult poses. 

Mindful Yin Yoga- Stretches the connective tissues & joints mainly in the generally tight areas of the spine, hips, & pelvis.  Postures are held for a period of time at an appropriate edge, while the mind becomes restful.  It will stimulate organs & energy  flow while  generating more balanced health.         


CARDIO STEP
  A  45 minute cardio program -with or without the step- designed with all fitness level in mind. This class can be the first step back to physical fitness. The Generations’ trainers developed a fun and engaging class that will build strength in the heart and limbs.  

ABS & BACK
Tired of doing the same basic crunches? In this workout you’ll be led through a variety of effective exercises designed to work the entire abdominal area as well as focusing on the back.

CORE ATHLETICS
You will see great improvements in strength and flexibility as you challenge your mind and body. This class will not only aim to strengthen the core, but will utilize weights to provide total-body conditioning using athletic drills.

KICKBOXING
This high energy cardiovascular class utilizes kickboxing movements and upbeat music to create a total body endurance workout. Experience combinations of punches, kicks, and athletic drills designed to turn up the intensity 

Core & Kick- Incorporates kickboxing with core strengthening exercises.


ZUMBA
Zumba® is a cardio dance class set to a fusion of Latin and International music that creates a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system. Ditch the workout, join the party!

BODY COMBAT
An explosive, high intensity workout of aggressive and powerful moves using the kamagon balls, bosus, flexi-bars and more.  Melt the fat and chisel your muscles in this high intensity class that will inspire you and challenge you to work out harder than you ever thought you could.

HARD CORE
A high energy, high intensity workout, focusing from core to gluts using Pliates & Yogafit moves combined with flexi bar, kamagon balls, medicine, bosu & more.  Keeping your heart rate up as your body fat goes down- Yeah!  

PiYo(TM)
This unique format combines Power Yoga, Pilates, strength conditioning, flexibility, and dynamic balance.  PiYo (TM) is an up tempo, non spiritual approach to mind/body exercise.

Sculpt
Our instructors will lead you through a non-stop progression of strength building exercises to increase muscular strength by using a variety of equipment. Add this class to your schedule to help you sculpt your body into a strong  & lean physique.

Silver Sneakers - Muscular Strength & Range of Motion® : 
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support

Back, Ball & Beyond
Challenge yourself in new and different ways with various sized therapy balls and foam rollers. 
A fun program focused on developing a stronger, healthier back while improving postural alignment, flexibility and balance. Class closes with a series of myofascial release techniques designed to massage tight muscles and stimulate circulation.
